Make Movement: DQ Finishes, Survivor Series and More

Am I the only one tired of constant DQ or interference finishes? I know they are apart of the sport, but hasn’t it been overkill lately? For instance, TNA has the ability to put on quality if they felt like it and be a true alternative to WWE’s fumbling with booking. I took the time to watch the recent TNA PPV, Genesis, and they have the ability to deliver good, clean finishes and matches, such as the match of the night with Christian versus Kaz in a very well done Ladder Match. However, they get the triumphant debut of Booker T, the fans were marking out for it and they do a stupid finish with run-ins galore, the referee not seeing any of it (the most unbelievable part) and Kurt Angle retains. Will TNA ruin Booker T like they’ve ruined Kurt Angle’s character? We can only believe that Booker T will not have to wait as long as Kurt did to become World Champion.

WWE, no stranger to screwy finishes, has the upcoming PPV Survivor Series coming up having delivered a rather weak edition of RAW and needs to gain momentum with Smackdown for fans to decide if this one will be worth buying. Shawn Michaels has to take the WWE Title, I don’t want a run in by Edge to set up anything during this match. If Edge wants to do something afterwards, so be it, but it’s time to get the title off Orton. Batista versus Undertaker in the Hell in the Cell has potential to steal the show, and hopefully this will wrap up their match series for a while, with Undertaker winning. Of course there’s the defying reality match with Hornswaggle versus the Great Khali. Obviously Hornswaggle will rely on speed and will need all the help he can get but I don’t think people are driven to care all that much when all the personality is within Hornswaggle. The rest of the show is hard to remember without referencing it, and that’s just how Survivor Series tag matches go. That doesn’t mean Survivor Series matches won’t be fun, but they always blend in together.

Today is the 2nd anniversary of Eddy Guerrero’s passing. Still hard to believe, and I still miss Eddy. He was one of my favorite performers and the sports is really not the same without his smile, his natural ability and his passion for the business. If you ever want to enjoy a match, pop in Eddy Guerrero’s WWE DVD and I know I’m brought back to a time where Eddy was such a great performer, truly entertaining with his excellent wrestling skills and master facial expressions and truly knew psychology, and capturing the heart of fans. And he always will. I’m enclosing with a tribute video I found this morning that someone made on YouTube:
