2007/2008 TV Season Ratings Report – Week 7 (11/5 – 11/11/07)

Monday (11/5/07)

Overall:

#1 ABC (11.6)
#2 CBS (7.8)
#3 NBC (4.7)
#4 FOX (4.5)
#5 CW (1.5)

Adults 18-49:

#1 ABC (4.7)
#2 CBS (4.1)
#3 NBC (3.4)
#4 FOX (3.4)
#5 CW (0.9)

Monday Night Rankings:
#1 Dancing with the Stars, ABC
#2 Samantha Who?, ABC
#3 CSI: Miami, CBS
#4 Two and a Half Men, CBS
#5 The Bachelor, ABC
#6 Rules of Engagement, CBS
#7 Heroes, NBC
#8 The Big Bang Theory, CBS
#9 How I Met Your Mother, CBS
#10 Chuck, NBC
#11 Prison Break, FOX
#12 Journeyman, NBC
#13 The Game, CW
#14 Everybody Hates Chris, CW
#15 Girlfriends, CW
#16 Aliens in America, CW

My Thoughts: Viewership was up for Monday overall: with
Prison Break giving FOX a boost, and improved numbers for
How I Met Your Mother as well. On the downside, NBC’s
Journeyman might be living on borrowed time

Tuesday (11/6/07)

Overall:

#1 FOX (8.3)
#2 CBS (7.9)
#3 ABC (7.5)
#4 NBC (6.0)
#5 CW (1.7)

Adults 18-49:

#1 FOX (5.6)
#2 NBC (3.6)
#3 CBS (3.0)
#4 ABC (2.8)
#5 CW (1.1)

Tuesday Night Rankings:
#1 NCIS, CBS
#2 Dancing With the Stars, ABC
#3 House, FOX
#4 Law & Order: SVU, NBC
#5 Boston Legal, ABC
#6 The Unit, CBS
#7 Bones, FOX
#8 Cane, CBS
#9 The Biggest Loser, NBC
#10 Carpoolers, ABC
#11 Cavemen, ABC
#12 Beauty and the Geek, CW
#13 Reaper, CW

My Thoughts: Where oh where would FOX be in the fall if it
weren’t for House? Networks execs must shudder to think,
especially considering they probably never saw it becoming a hit
in the first place. NCIS continues to deliver, while ABC
continues to flounder in the 8-9 hour

Wednesday (11/7/07)

Overall:

#1 ABC (10.1)
#2 CBS (7.4)
#3 FOX (4.1)
#4 NBC (3.9)
#5 CW (2.6)

Adults 18-49:

#1 ABC (5.4)
#1 CBS (3.1)
#3 FOX (2.6)
#4 NBC (2.5)
#5 CW (1.8)

Wednesday Night Rankings:
#1 CMA Awards, ABC
#2 Criminal Minds, CBS
#3 CSI: NY, CBS

#5 Life, NBC
#6 Back to You, FOX
#7 ‘Til Death, FOX
#8 Kitchen Nightmares, FOX
#9 Phenomenon, NBC
#10 Bionic Woman, NBC
#11 Top Model, CW
#12 Gossip Girl, CW

My Thoughts: The Country Music Awards dominated
the night. Outside of that: CBS held strong, Top Model
scored well, while NBC and FOX’s schedules remain a mess

Thursday (11/8/07)

Overall:

#1 CBS (12.2)
#2 ABC (8.6)
#3 NBC (4.8)
#4 FOX (4.6)
#5 CW (2.4)

Adults 18-49:

#1 CBS (5.8)
#2 ABC (5.0)
#3 NBC (3.5)
#4 FOX (2.4)
#5 CW (1.5)

Thursday Night Rankings:
#1 CSI, CBS
#2 Without a Trace, CBS
#3 Grey’s Anatomy, ABC
#4 Survivor: China, CBS
#5 Ugly Betty, ABC
#6 ER, NBC
#7 Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?, FOX
#8 Big Shots, ABC
#9 The Office, NBC
#10 My Name is Earl, NBC
#11 30 Rock, NBC
#12 Scrubs, NBC
#13 Don’t Forget the Lyrics, FOX
#14 Smallville, CW
#15 Supernatural, CW

My Thoughts: CBS’s CSI/Without a Trace crossover
was a sweeps juggernaut. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking on
Big Shots, which simply isn’t holding enough of Grey’s audience

Friday (11/9/07)

Overall:

#1 CBS (6.0)
#2 ABC (5.3)
#3 NBC (4.8)
#4 CW (2.9)
#5 FOX (2.8)

Adults 18-49:

#1 CBS (2.7)
#2 NBC (1.9)
#3 ABC (1.8)
#4 FOX (1.6)
#5 CW (1.5)

Friday Night Rankings:
#1 Numb3rs, CBS

#7 Las Vegas, NBC
#8 Men in Trees, ABC
#9 Friday Night Lights, NBC
#10 Don’t Forget the Lyrics, FOX
#11 Friday Night Smackdown!, CW
#12 The Next Great American Band, FOX

My Thoughts: A fresh new episode of Ghost Whisperer
put CBS back on top Friday

Sunday (11/11/07)

Overall:

#1 ABC (8.4)
#2 NBC (7.9)
#3 CBS (7.7)
#4 FOX (6.5)
#5 CW (0.9)

Adults 18-49:

#1 ABC (4.9)
#2 NBC (4.9)
#3 FOX (4.9)
#4 CBS (2.8)
#5 CW (0.5)

Sunday Night Rankings:
#Desperate Housewives, ABC
#2 Sunday Night Football, NBC
#3 Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, ABC
#4 60 Minutes, CBS
#5 Brothers & Sisters, ABC
#6 Cold Case, CBS
#7 The Amazing Race, CBS
#8 Shark, CBS
#9 The Simpsons, FOX
#10 Family Guy, FOX
#11 America’s Funniest Home Videos, ABC
#12 King of the Hill, FOX
#13 American Dad, FOX
#14 CW Now/Aliens in America/Life is Wild, CW

My Thoughts: So whatever happened to the original Extreme Makeover?.

Football played a large role in the Sunday ratings yet again, while the CMAs scored big for ABC and House is truly having an MVP season. Meanwhile, look for the axe to fall on another show or two by month’s end
