Bonds Indictment

Barry Bonds was indicted on federal charges of Perjury and obstruction of justice today, for allegedly lying when he said he did not use performance-enhancing drugs in testimony given before another grand jury nearly four years ago.

Bonds has been ordered to appear in court on Dec. 7, the U.S. Justice Dept. announced.

According to the indictment, the federal government has uncovered evidence that shows Bonds has tested positive for anabolic steroids and other performance enhancing substances.

The government has been digging for information on Bonds for more than 4 years. And has spanned 3 grand juries.

Bond’s personal trainer was released from prison shortly after the indictment of Bonds.
