2007/2008 TV Season Ratings Report – Week of 11/12-11/18/07

Monday (11/12/07)

Overall:

#1 ABC (10.8)
#2 CBS (7.9)
#3 NBC (5.1)
#4 FOX (3.9)
#5 CW (1.7)

Adults 18-49:

#1 ABC (4.4)
#2 CBS (4.3)
#3 NBC (3.5)
#4 FOX (2.4)
#5 CW (1.1)

Monday Night Rankings:
#1 Dancing with the Stars, ABC
#2 CSI: Miami, CBS
#3 Samantha Who?, ABC
#4 Two and a Half Men, CBS
#5 Rules of Engagement, CBS
#6 Heroes, NBC
#7 The Bachelor, ABC
#8 The Big Bang Theory, CBS
#9 How I Met Your Mother, CBS
#10 Chuck, NBC
#11 Prison Break, FOX
#12 Journeyman, NBC
#13 K-ville, FOX
#14 The Game, CW
#15 Everybody Hates Chris, CW
#16 Girlfriends, CW
#17 Aliens in America, CW

My Thoughts: CBS gained some ground on ABC, especially with the 18-49 crowd. Heroes numbers took a slight leap as well

Tuesday (11/13/07)

Overall:

#1 FOX (8.1)
#2 CBS (7.8)
#3 ABC (7.7)
#4 NBC (6.3)
#5 CW (1.7)

Adults 18-49:

#1 FOX (5.2)
#2 NBC (3.7)
#3 ABC (2.9)
#4 CBS (2.8)

#7 Bones, FOX
#8 The Biggest Loser, NBC
#9 Cane, CBS
#10 Carpoolers, ABC
#11 Cavemen, ABC
#12 Beauty and the Geek, CW
#13 Reaper, CW

My Thoughts: Remember when SVU ruled Tuesday in the Fall? Those days are gone. And it will be interesting to see how much patience CBS has with Cane

Wednesday (11/14/07)

Overall:

#1 CBS (7.9)
#2 ABC (6.5)
#3 FOX (4.5)
#4 NBC (4.1)
#5 CW (2.7)

Adults 18-49:

#1 CBS (3.5)

#8 ‘Til Death, FOX
#9 Kitchen Nightmares, FOX
#10 Phenomenon, NBC
#11 Life, NBC
#12 Bionic Woman, NBC
#13 Top Model, CW
#14 Gossip Girl, CW

My Thoughts: Without The Country Music Awards, everyone gained on ABC even the CW! Criminal Minds doesn’t seem to be missing Maddy Patankin too much. But does any-
one get the feeling Wednesday is very vulnerable? It’s the only night
of the week (besides Friday & Saturday, of course) without a consistent Top 10 show

Thursday (11/15/07)

Overall:

#1 CBS (10.6)
#2 ABC (8.7)
#3 NBC (5.0)
#4 FOX (4.8)
#5 CW (2.4)

Adults 18-49:

#1 CBS (5.1)
#2 ABC (5.0)
#3 NBC (3.7)
#4 FOX (2.5)
#5 CW (1.5)

Thursday Night Rankings:
#1 CSI, CBS
#2 Grey’s Anatomy, ABC
#3 Without a Trace, CBS
#4 Survivor: China, CBS
#5 Ugly Betty, ABC
#6 ER, NBC
#7 Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?, FOX
#8 Women’s Murder Club, ABC
#9 The Office, NBC
#10 My Name is Earl, NBC
#11 30 Rock, NBC
#12 Don’t Forget the Lyrics, FOX
#13 Scrubs, NBC
#14 Smallville, CW
#15 Supernatural, CW

My Thoughts: Grey’s Anatomy slides back into its #2 position. Meanwhile: the Women’s Murder Club experiment didn’t succeed (it’s a Friday show), and Scrubs ratings continue to slide in its final season

Friday (11/16/07)

Overall:

#1 CBS (6.0)
#2 ABC (5.1)
#3 NBC (5.0)
#4 CW (2.7)
#5 FOX (2.3)

Adults 18-49:

#1 CBS (2.7)
#2 NBC (2.2)
#3 ABC (1.8)
#4 FOX (1.5)

#1 Numb3rs, CBS
#2 Deal or No Deal, NBC
#3 Women’s Murder Club, ABC
#4 Ghost Whisperer, CBS
#5 Moonlight, CBS
#6 20/20, ABC
#7 Las Vegas, NBC
#8 Men in Trees, ABC
#9 Friday Night Lights, NBC
#10 Don’t Forget the Lyrics, FOX
#11 Friday Night Smackdown!, CW
#12 The Next Great American Band, FOX

My Thoughts: Deal or No Deal, surprisingly quiet thus far scores it’s highest rating of the month

Sunday (11/18/07)

Overall:

#1 CBS (8.6)
#2 FOX (7.0)
#3 NBC (7.0)
#4 ABC (6.6)
#5 CW (1.0)

Adults 18-49:

#1 FOX (5.3)
#2 NBC (4.2)
#3 ABC (4.2)
#4 CBS (3.3)
#5 CW (0.5)

Sunday Night Rankings:
#1 60 Minutes, CBS
#2 Cold Case, CBS
#3 Sunday Night Football, NBC
#4 Shark, CBS
#5 American Music Awards, ABC
#6 The Amazing Race, CBS
#7 The Simpsons, FOX
#8 Family Guy, FOX
#9 King of the Hill, FOX
#10 American Dad, FOX
#11 CW Now/Aliens in America/Life is Wild, CW

My Thoughts: The AMAs couldn’t match the CMAs numbers for ABC. And 60 Minutes wins the night, likely due to a
complete mismatch between the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills

Dancing With the Stars continues to strut its stuff for ABC – who also has the only breakout freshmen hit in Samantha Who? But that couldn’t stop CBS from handily taking the week overall. Meanwhile, FOX scores a 18-49 demo victory on Sunday…
