Wednesday Night News on Cena, Nasty Incident at Smackdown Taping & More

The Nasty Boys, Jerry Saggs and Brian Knobbs, worked a dark match at the recent Smackdown tapings. They pissed people off. They were under the impression that they were huge stars, taking forever to get to the ring as they spent so long interacting with friends at ringside. Knobbs entered the ring with his back to the hard camera side, while Saggs entered right next to their opponents, Dave Taylor and Drew McIntyre, making them look foolish in the process. They then took liberties with McIntyre, 21 years old and a recent addition to the roster, during the match. Eventually McIntyre started hitting stiff shots of his own, but even the veteran Taylor was treated the same by the Nasty Boys. One WWE source said the match was “one of the all time worst things you could ever hope to see. It was abysmal.” The delays caused by the Nasty Boys also screwed up the taping schedule, with the Smackdown parts ending at 9:54 pm, leaving the ring crew just 6 minutes to set things up for the live ECW broadcast.

Ricky Morton is planning to write an autobiography, tentatively entitled Sex, Drugs and the Rock and Roll Express. More info on his website.

John Cena will appear for WWE developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling on 27 November in Port Richey, Florida.
