ROH in Dayton, OH, 11-30-2007 – Results

1. Claudio Castagnoli defeated Seth Skyfire – I’ve never seen Skyfire before but CC can get a good match out of anyone so yay.

2. Delirious defeated Adam Pearce in a Falls Count Anywhere Match – Meh to this feud.

3. Chris Hero defeated Jigsaw – Nice to see Jiggy get a singles match, both these men know each other really well so this should have been good.

4. The Briscoes defeated Davey Richards and Rocky Romero to retain the
tag titles after Jay Briscoe pinned Richards with a Springboard Doomsday Device
; said to be a “great match;” this match was taped for PPV – Sounds like an average Briscoes match.

5. Bryan Danielson defeated Necro Butcher by submission to the Cattle Mutilation in a Relaxed Rules match – Their recent PWG match was crazy, this should have been good too.

6. Nigel McGuinness defeated Sylas Young in a non-title match; post-match McGuinness cut a promo, but was interrupted and attacked by Chris Hero; Claudio Castagnoli ran out to save McGuinness; Hero will fight McGuinness at the next Dayton show – I thought the Hero/Nigel feud was over. I guess not.

7. Davey Richards vs. Erick Stevens vs. Human Tornado – Richards was added earlier to the planned singles match and won the threeway pinning Human Tornado – Richards add seems a bit random. Match sounds okay with who involved.

8. Austin Aries defeated Roderick Strong 4-3 in a 30-minute Iron Man Match; Aries got the final fall by knockout with a knee to the head. – That many falls in a ½ hour is ridiculous.

9. Jack Evans & Ruckus won the four team scramble when Jack pinned Mark Briscoe; Brent Alright & BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black were the other two teams involved. This was NOT a title match. – Sounds like a fun preview for tomorrow night.

That’s it! The show sounds pretty fun. See you tomorrow night.

ROH in Chicago, IL, 12-01-2007 – Results

***IMPORTANT NEWS***
THE TRIOS TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED, BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER ALOT OF WRESTLERS HAVE NOT ARRIVED AT THE SHOW YET.

1. Austin Aries def. Tyler Black via the 450 Splash – Tyler is very move heavy, but in there with Aries he should have been fine.

2. Sara Del Ray def. Lacey via pinfall – SHIMMER isn’t very well received in ROH, and this going over 15 minutes made it an apparently awful experience.

3. 6 Man Mayhem: Dingo def. Ben Wallace, Silas Young, Trik Davis, Seth Skyfire, and Danny Daniels – This was a ‘Do or Die’ filled with guys no one knows. Yay.

– After the match, The Briscoes ran out and demolished everyone. They cut a promo as well.

– Chris Hero calls out Claudio Castagnoli

4. 2 out of 3 Falls: Claudio Castagnoli def. Chris Hero by a score of 2-1

1-0 Claudio via roll-up
1-1 Tie via Ace Crusher
2-1 Claudio wins via roll-up

Pretty bad booking decision as we head into the big showdown between CC and SnS Inc. at FB07.

– Sweet n’ Sour Inc. jump Claudio after the match

5. Adam Pearce and Shane Hagadorn def. Alex Payne and Ernie Osiris via Spike Piledriver in a squash – Meh.

6. Brent Albright def. Jigsaw via Half-Nelson Suplex – Again nice to see Jiggy get a singles match.

7. BJ Whitmer vs. Delirious ends in No Contest – Meh. This feud has never got going.

– Hangm3n beat down on Delirious afterwards. They tore his mask off and beat him with a chain. Students tried to make the save but were chased off. Mitch Franklin bench pressed into the crowd by Albright.

8. Jimmy Jacobs def. Bryan Danielson via Top Rope Guillotine DDT in 23:32 – “Incredible Match”. Both men are very good (Danielson especially), so yeah, this should be awesome.

9. Jay Briscoe, Mark Briscoe, and Erick Stevens def. No Remorse Corps via Mark Briscoe Cutthroat Driver on Davey Richards – Looks like a pretty fun 6 man.

And that’s the show. No shows said to be Jack Evans, Ruckus, Necro Butcher, Human Tornado, and Tank Toland. Big shame about the lack of Trios Tournament, because that looked really good on paper.
