According to the Associated Press, “The personal doctor [Dr. Phil Astin III] for Chris Benoit… has repeatedly violated the bail conditions in a case in which he is charged with overprescribing medication to patients, a federal prosecutor said Friday.” Also in the article, it is noted that “the government has obtained evidence that Benoit and his slain wife had been abusing painkillers that were prescribed by Astin before the June killings.”
