According to the Associated Press and Canadian Press, Chris Benoit’s father Michael says that a verbal agreement has been reached in the dispute over Chris’ estate.
“In principle, it’s there. It just needs to be documented,” Michael Benoit said, adding that the $1.5 to $3 million estate will “pretty much” be split down the middle between Chris’ two surviving children (from a previous marriage) and the Toffolinis (Nancy Benoit’s family).
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution earlier today reported Michael Benoit saying about Nancy’s family, “I was always of the opinion they were entitled to half of the estate.”
