Richly Deserved: Celebrity Apprentice Episode 1

Shows

14 “of the world’s most successful celebrities” have gathered in New York. Introduced one by one, playing for charity.

The celebrities begin at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Trump tells them they are all commodities. Tiffany Fallon and the rest have a charity to play for.

The teams are male vs. female. Omarosa wants to be the first project manager. Vinny Pastore said no one knows who “Ponderosa” is.

Nely Galan brought hats for her team. Already Omarosa hates the hats. Marilu Henner says Omarosa wants to prove she’s better than everyone else. The team settles on the team name, “Empresario”.

The guys have a lot more fun throwing names around. Gene Simmons put his two cents worth. Piers Morgan likes Gene’s idea of “Hydra”

The ladies are o.k. with Omarosa taking the lead. Nely Galan actually likes someone who’s been there before guiding them. Can we call this “The Omarosa Show” now?

Marilu Henner wonders what Donald will do with them. Stephen Baldwin steps up for Hydra.

The first task is to sell hot dogs for a lot of money for charity. Empresario turns to Carol Alt, a New Yorker, to choose a location. She chooses a spot near Penn Station.

Hydra chooses a location near Radio City Music Hall. Omarosa wants to choose business practices over using celebrity. Tiffany tried to explain that there were a lot of beautiful women in the room. Omarosa wanted none of that.

Piers Morgan wanted to sell celebrity. Stephen is a bit more sensible. Gene immediately called a friend and sold him a $5,000 hot dog. He immediately works the phones to his connections and Trace Adkins and Lennox Lewis are immediately impressed.

Omarosa sent her girls on an “all-American, red, white, and blue” theme. They start selling for $5 but quickly started raising the price. $500 for a hot dog? Nely said if the people had it, they would take it from them. Trump and mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York show up and Bloomberg takes a bite of their dog.

The guys are trying to attract customers by taking pictures of the celebrities and by having Lennox and Tito Ortiz putting on a sparring display. People are offering $4 for hot dogs. Gene is having trouble having his people show up. Piers is frustrated.

Sign says “Celebrity Hot Dogs for Charity”. Sounds like a social club. The guys do start working together and selling at $100. Lennox was pleased that UFC and Kiss fans were walking by. Trump and Bloomberg show up.

Back at Empresario, Nadia Comaneci is busy cooking the dogs up. Omarosa continues to be bossy while Tiffany had trouble selling. Marilu went to her contacts by phone. Later, she gets someone to give $5,000 for a water. The Taxi legend comes to the rescue.

Jenna Jameson shows up to support her boyfriend Tito. One individual gave $10,000 while another gave $5,000. Gene was becoming a hot dog selling superstar.

With 10 minutes left in the task, David Wright, the New York Mets third baseman, is brought over by Jennie Finch. He made a donation and treated everyone around the cart to free hot dogs. They ran out of dogs. No telling what the donation was.

Man, there was a lot of money thrown out there. Far more than Bill, Kelly, Kendra, Randal, Sean, and Stefani combined could ever dream of mustering, that’s for sure. But it’s time to see how much they made.

Omarosa felt her team won due to having a great plan. Stephen gave credit to the other players including Tito who brought Jenna Jameson along.

Don Jr. said the girls sold over $17,000. Ivanka said the guys sold over $52,000. Trump noted the guys used their celebrity better and had a better location. They were asked who on the women’s team was the weakest link. Piers immediately singled out “Amarosa”. Omarosa corrected him on the name and got into a spirited battle with who she said America referred to as the “British Asshole” (The latter word bleeped out, of course). Omarosa also explained to Don Jr. when asked about the beautiful women on the team, that her team in season one was criticized for using sex to sell and that she learned her lesson for this time.

Trump announced the $69,000 raised was going to Stephen’s charity, the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. He lost his father to lung cancer and in 1990, his mother developed breast cancer.

Also, the guys got to go to their “war room” and watch the boardroom proceedings as the women went at it in the boardroom.

The guys immediately turned the TV on. Omarosa said Marilu stepped up. She sold a couple of water for $10,000. She also singled out Nely. She also singled out Tiffany for not selling herself, saying that while Lennox and Tito were commodities selling themselves, the former Playboy Playmate of the Year did not. Omarosa explained that Tiffany could have used her contacts this time but she wanted to save them for later.

Ivanka accused them of trying to sell hot dogs instead of celebrity, particularly with their poor uniforms. Nely actually went to her defense, saying she was an immaculate leader. The guys watching thought Tiffany was toast. Carol was responsible for the location and she and Omarosa had a bit of a verbal cat fight. Trump and Don Jr. agreed that Carol picked a poor location by Penn Station.

Omarosa chose Tiffany and Carol to return to the boardroom. Piers noted that the women have gone on record blaming each other and it gives the guys a great advantage.

The ladies go back in. Omarosa said she stepped up, taking a risk. Carol felt she stepped up whenever there was a void to be filled. Carol felt Omarosa’s leadership got in the way. Omarosa tried to defend herself. Trump gets Tiffany into the act, asking if she’s nervous. Trump said she should have called one contact (implying Hugh Hefner). Tiffany said she was holding back her contacts. Omarosa actually felt Carol should go.

Trump fired Tiffany for not calling Hefner and asking him for $10,000. Trump noted that she was a nice person and unfortunately, nice people have to be sent home. Omarosa and Carol agree to leave their battle in the boardroom and shake hands.

Tiffany was frustrated, saying she did what was asked of her. Unfortunately, Omarosa was kept around because quite frankly, she’s better TV.

Anyone got Hugh Hefner’s number? I need a donation.

‘Till next week, when apparently, no one insults Ivanka, not even the legendary Gene Simmons.

Just to help things out, I’ll bring some of the charities they’re playing for to light.
