Jon Favreau is currently directing Iron Man with Robert Downey Jr. in the leading role of Tony Stark/Iron Man.

The Incredible Hulk is being filmed right now with new leading star Edward Norton instead of the star from the first film, Eric Bana.

Rumors have persisted that these two films could end up being tied together somehow and lead to an Avengers film sometime in the future. There now appears to be even more proof that these rumors are true.

AICN got word on exactly how the films will be tied together. One more warning that there are possible spoilers coming up now.

So the scene that was shot was for the Hulk with General Thunderbolt who is very important to the Hulk. Anyway, Tony Stark meets with him – which of course is a straight prelude to the Avengers Movie.

Favreau has gone on record saying he would be more then happy to direct a film about the Avengers, but it remains to be seen if he’ll get the nod.

Starring in Iron Man besides Downey is Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Samuel L. Jackson, and Gwyneth Paltrow. It is due in theatres on May 2.

The Incredible Hulk stars Norton, Tim Roth, Liv Tyler, and William Hurt and is set for release in theatres on June 13.
