Arman Hussein passes away…

News

1wrestling.com is reporting that Arman Hussein passed away around New Year’s Day. His funeral was January 4 in Dallas.

Hussein rose to fame in the 1960’s and 1970’s in various territories such as Arizona, Portland (where he tagged with Abdullah the Butcher as Hussein the Butcher), and California.

In 1981 he headed to World Class where he joined forces with Killer Tim Brooks to battle the Von Erichs.

1982 saw Hussein leaving the ring to assume a managerial role. He soon allied himself with Gary Hart in H & H Limited. The H & H stable consisted of the Great Kabuki, Bugsy McGraw, Magic Dragon, Bill Irwin, Frank Dusek, the Spoiler, Checkmate, and King Kong Bundy.

Bundy soon posed a challenge to H & H as he left the group and formed his own stable – Devastation, Incorporated (which soon brought in General Skandor Akbar).

By the end of 1982 Hart had mostly disappeared and Hussein was managing H & H solo.

June 17, 1983 saw the end of Hussein’s WCCW career as Kamala defeated him, Tola Yatsu, and Mike Bond in a loser leaves town match. This was reminiscent of how earlier Yatsu had won a loser leaves town match of his own that had sent Bundy out of WCCW. Hussein remained out of the wrestling spotlight for the rest of his life.

Inside Pulse sends our condolences to Hussein’s family and friends.
