TNA News on Joe, Masters, New Japan & More

News

The reason for Samoa Joe not getting any singles world title matches lately is that TNA are grooming him for a title run at long last. The next time he gets into a title program they recognise that he will have to succeed in it. Kurt Angle is not expected to drop the belt in the interim.

Chris Masters has been talking to friends in TNA about coming in to work for them. Apparently the responses were not favourable, since he isn’t someone TNA will consider a big enough name to bother with and, given his age and look, WWE will most likely bring him back in eventually anyway.

Following TNA’s participation in NJPW’s Tokyo Dome show on 04 January, Tiger Mask and Shinsuke Nakamura are scheduled to be at the 22 January Impact tapings. There’s no word on whether or not they will be wrestling there but they were the two Jeff Jarrett was most interested in bringing to TNA.

After the WWE house show in Elmira, NY, on 07 January, the arena manager told the fans to come back for the next show in February. However, that show is a TNA event.

Jesse Ventura has another book coming out in April, called Don’t Start The Revolution Without Me.

Ron Killings has not yet accepted his WWE offer. He’s waiting to see if AAA make him a similar offer first.
