The Minnesota Twins have reached long term deals with First Baseman Justin Morneau, and Outfielder Michael Cuddyer.
Morneau’s deal is reportedly in the 6 year 75 million dollar range and Cuddyer’s around 3 years 23 million dollars with option years added on.
Opinion The Morneau deal I’m fine with, he’s a great young player and should be well worth the 75 million over 6 years. Cuddyer I like, but not that much. He’s a good OF with a strong arm, but I think we may have already seen the best of him at the plate. I would have been just as content to let him leave next year when he’s a UFA and use the money to try and get Santana long term.
