NFL Updates

The Cleveland Browns extend contract offers to QB Derek Anderson and RB Jamal Lewis. Anderson, a Restricted Free Agent, threw 29 TDs this year while leading the Browns to a 10-6 record, just missing the playoffs. Lewis can be an unrestricted free agent after being signed to a 1 year, incentive laden contract last march. He rushed for over 1300 yards this year with 9 TDs. The Browns are also working on an extension for Head Coach Romeo Crennel.

Tom Brady appeared at the Pats Super Bowl send off without the famous walking boot, and without a noticeable limp.

Sources say the NFL will return to England next year with a game between the San Diego Chargers and the New Orleans Saints. The Saints would be the home team, because apparently going one year without stealing a home game from the Saints is too much. The game would be held October 26th.

Speaking of the Chargers, they were apparently hiding another injury down the stretch. Kicker Nate Kaeding played the last 5 games with a broken left leg, which is his plant leg. I don’t know how he was able to kick with a broken leg, so damn.
