TNA taped the Barbed Wire Massacre Match between Abyss and Mesias, scheduled for the Against All Odds PPV on 10 February, in the Impact Zone on the 22 January. The PPV will be in South Carolina and their State Athletic Commission refused to sanction it. If you want to know the result, check out the spoilers here.

Shelley Martinez has some heat on her because she pulled out of recent TNA house shows in order to attend a porn convention to sign autographs. Some feel that none of the male wrestlers would be able to cancel a tour to do autograph sessions. Her new TV name, Salinas, is taken from Dixie Carter’s husband, Serge Salinas.

ROH is cutting back on expenses due to financial constraints, which means most regulars will be put on a rotation system to cut back on booking and transportation costs. Daniel Puder is not expected to be brought in again anytime soon, since he has to be flown in from the west coast and is not a core component of Larry Sweeney’s stable. The ROH PPV buyrates have not surpassed expectations and are though to have gone down after Man Up, which was bad for morale as that was perhaps the best quality of show they can offer.

Bret Hart, Bob Backlund and Bobo Brazil will be inducted into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame this May, with the ceremony to be held in Amsterdam, NY.

Nu-Wrestling Entertainment, the Italy-based promotion, is running a tour of Spain in April. Among those booked to appear are Booker T, Raven, Rikishi, Chris Masters, Juventud Guerrera, Jon Heidenreich and Ultimo Dragon.

Ernest Miller has been cast as the lead heel facing Mickey Rourke’s character in the upcoming movie The Wrestler. They are filming scenes in conjunction with CZW at shows in Philadelphia on the 8th and 9th February.
