Japanese horror films have been being remade by Americans for years now. Perhaps this may be the one where they finally get it right. That is, if they can truly capture the essence of what is one of the scariest films I’ve ever seen.
The film tells the story of a newly married couple discovers disturbing, ghostly images in photographs they develop after a tragic accident. Fearing the manifestations may be connected, they investigate and learn that some mysteries are better left unsolved.

Shutter stars Joshua Jackson, Rachael Taylor, David Denman, James Kyson Lee, and John Hensley and is due in theatres on March 21.
