An important tag team bout has been signed for 2/22 in Deer Park, NY. Jigsaw and Ruckus of the Vulture Squad will take on Age of the Fall members Jimmy Jacobs and Necro Butcher. Both teams have important reasons for winning this contest, if Jacbos and Necro can win then it will help propel Age of the Fall back into title contention. If Ruckus and Jigsaw can muster the victory then it will help garner great momentum for their upcoming ROH Tag Team title match on 2/23.
Cards for 3/14 & 3/15 in Dover, NJ as well as the 3/16 PPV taping in Philadelphia are being finalized by ROH officials. Later this week matches for all three events will be announced.
The countdown is on for Nigel McGuinness vs. Bryan Danielson for the ROH World Title at the 6th Anniversary Show on 2/23 in Manhattan. This will be a very special night for Danielson. It is six years to the day that he main evented the very first ROH event, along with Christopher Daniels and Low Ki. Danielson lost that contest. Now exactly six years later he is determined not to lose this World Title Match. McGuinness has never defeated Danielson in the middle of the ring so expect something special when these two warriors collide in the Manhattan Center.

Very much a hype newswire, basically if this doesn’t get you interested in going to the Long Island show as far as ROH are concerned nothing will.
I’m personally not overly keen on Long Island shows, as on DVDs the crowd are somewhat odd with their silence or random wise cracking remarks and the wrestlers never seem to be to enthusiastic with working there either. I’m sure live it’s a blast for those who go, for $10 it certainly seems worth while.
Rocky Romero vs. Bryan Danielson really stands out to me, its a match that would benefit from a great crowd but doesn’t need it. I’m hoping they go the MMA route with the match, just like Danielson vs. Reyes from PWG BOLA ’05. That match was awesome so hopefully this will follow its trend and Romero shows he can be all Mr MMA too.
And to those who doubt me, Nigel retaining at 2/23 is the best move for both ROH and of course Nigel McGuinness fans. If he loses at least it adds to the Story of Nigel never beating Danielson in the ring, which will be awesome for future encounters down the road.
