Former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell appeared on a local sports radio show in Houston tonight, and broke one major news story that no one else has covered: he was asked to do a match at WrestleMania 24.
Liddell said that the WWE contacted him in late 2007 about doing a match at WrestleMania 24, presumably in the role that Floyd Mayweather now occupies against the Big Show. Liddell said that he considered taking the match, but that he didn’t want to risk any injuries as he climbs back into the light heavyweight title hunt.
