March 7, 2008Unable to defeat Batista in their previous one-on-one non-title encounters and in their tag match this past Friday, the stakes will be even higher Friday on SmackDown when MVP faces The Animal with the United States Championship on the line.
The Ballin’ Superstar is out to prove that he is better than everyone else, while Batista will undoubtedly look to capture gold before he heads to a powerhouse showdown with Raw’s Umaga at WrestleMania XXIV. Will the former World Champion capture the title before he faces the Samoan Bulldozer in Orlando, Fla.? Or will Montel Vontavious Porter finally put his money where his mouth is and find a way to tame The Animal?
World Heavyweight Champion Edge will kick off SmackDown when he welcomes the 16-time World Champion, Ric Flair, to another edition of “The Cutting Edge.” Both Superstars will be involved in matches at WrestleMania XXIV, with Edge defending his title against Undertaker, while Flair will put his career on the line against his longtime friend, Shawn Michaels. What will the Rated-R Superstar have to say to “Naitch” when they kick off things on The CW Network? Will the “Nature Boy” have his own message for the World Heavyweight Champion?
Big Show made his dominant return to the ring this past Friday, decimating his two opponents in a Handicap Match. The giant then headed to Raw and made mincemeat out of a professional fighter in preparation for his WrestleMania challenge with Floyd “Money” Mayweather. The “World’s Largest Athlete” has promised to break Mayweather when they face off on March 30 in the Citrus Bowl; the two will meet face-to-face again in an official WrestleMania weigh-in on a special three-hour edition of Raw next Monday. But will Show have another powerful message for the WBC welterweight champion before their weigh-in on Raw?
Lastly, this Friday there will be a special Diva Swimsuit Contest. Which Divas will take part in this special contest? There is only one catch, but our fans will have to tune in to find out what the twist is for the participants in the Swimsuit Contest.
