Random Reality: Big Brother – Episode 9-15

Shows

My birthday was on Sunday, so I didn’t catch Big Brother. Plus, this should be a three-day holiday weekend anyways with St. Patrick’s Day on Monday AND it also being “Bracket Monday”. So yes, I took the weekend off. But here is the recap from CBS. Enjoy. See you next week!

The HouseGuests are stunned to find James is back in the house after his eviction. “I can’t believe I’m back,” James says. Chelsia is the happiest to have James return, but Adam is glad to have him back since he likes the guy. Natalie notes that James’ re-entry isn’t good for her alliance with Matt, Ryan, Adam and Sheila, but she thinks she can “redeem” herself by giving her word back to James. Most disappointed are Ryan and Matt, who wanted a strong player like James out of their hair and thought they had accomplished their mission for the week.

James is quickly focused on winning the Head of Household endurance competition. “My dignity is on the line,” he says. “To win HoH would be monumental.” As the HouseGuests hang from chains balancing on disco balls, James lets everyone know he is gunning to win. Adam and Joshuah drop first, followed by Matt, who knows if James wins, he’s a shoo-in for an eviction nomination. Natalie’s chatty behavior begins to annoy James and hearten Matt. Sheila drops, which leaves Natalie as Matt’s only ally still in the competition.

Let’s Make a Deal

When Joshuah tries to cut a deal with Natalie to get her to drop, Ryan tells Matt to stand up and support his former partner. Matt encourages Natalie when he tells her she will finally get her long sought-after massage. Sharon drops, leaving only James, Chelsia and Natalie competing for HoH.

After more than three hours, Chelsia finally falls. As the competition slogs on, James tells Natalie if she promises to put up Ryan, he will hand her HoH. Ryan then gets into it with James, and the deal dies.

Natalie is weakening quickly. She then asks James for safety for herself plus Matt. Matt asks her to stay strong as she admits she is getting sick. James promises her he will keep his word to her. Natalie drops, making James HoH for the week. The emotional HouseGuests surround Natalie, who cries and apologizes. Matt comforts her as he tells her she did a great job.

The Fallout

In the kitchen, Chelsia tells Natalie she was amazing out there. Chelsia then tells Matt the house is going to hold him to his promise to Natalie to give her a massage. Matt steps up and praises Natalie, telling her she was like his “Jesus up there.” Matt then confides that Natalie competed so hard just for him. A playful Chelsia asks James if he’s going to put her up. James notes she was the only person in the house to have his back before he closes in for a hug. In the storage room, Joshuah tells Sharon he’s worried that James will come after him since Joshuah voted to evict James. Sharon points out that if James put up Joshuah, James would be hurting himself and his allies in the game.

Ryan pulls Natalie aside to ask her why she voted James back. Natalie says she thought it was going to be Allison returning, but that she also didn’t know what to do. “I don’t want to be the odd man out,” she explains, noting that no one told her what to do. Ryan instantly regrets not letting Natalie know what was going on, but also makes sure Natalie knows that thanks to James returning, someone Natalie is aligned with is going home.

Bible Buddies

Adam and Matt are becoming avid Bible readers during their time in the house. Adam is particularly interested in the David and Goliath story, while Matt is impressed with Jacob’s history of marrying many women and siring children by his servants. Ryan notes that Matt and Adam are becoming Bible scholars as they read their way through the Good Book.

Happy Ending

It took her five hours of standing on a disco ball, but Natalie finally gets her dream massage from Matt! “I love you,” Matt says, “but not like that.” As she gets ready for the massage, Natalie pulls her shirt up, which prompts Matt to announce “I’m not touching any boobies.”

During the massage Natalie reveals that she feels like Matt is still her partner in the game. “Yeah, you’re my agent,” he states. Natalie gets down to business and tells Matt he has to convince James he voted to keep him. Matt tells Natalie he’s going to do that. Things quickly turn back to the action at hand, with Natalie telling Matt he’s a “good massager.”
Who’s the Third Vote?

Joshuah talks to Matt about which HouseGuest cast the third vote to keep James from returning to the house. Matt lies that he voted for James to return because he was worried Allison would come back into the house. Matt has no desire to tell James the truth, since he doesn’t want to be more of a target than he already is. Joshuah decides to play detective, since he knows someone is not telling the truth. Both Adam and Matt are saying they are not the third vote against James, and clearly one is lying, Joshuah posits. In the kitchen, both Matt and Adam deny the vote to Joshuah, but Adam (who is telling the truth) decides to tell James straight up he was not the third vote. “I voted for you to come back,” Adam insists, as he warns Joshuah not to question him. James keeps things cool by saying, “I don’t care, I’m back.”

Gay French Maid

Joshuah likes to keep a clean home. In the BIG BROTHER house, Joshuah is particularly adept at using the feather duster. “I’m like a gay French maid,” he says, noting the feather duster allows him to “frolic” in the house. Joshuah also shows his catty side, when he notes dusting “gives me a chance to throw dust on people’s beds I don’t like.”

Letter from Home

Last week in the veto competition, Joshuah won a letter from home. After tearfully reading it in the diary room, Joshuah shares the letter with the other HouseGuests. Joshuah lets them know everyone at home in his family is doing fine, including his younger sister, who brags to everyone about her reality star brother. Joshuah’s mom writes that he looks handsome, like Joshuah’s father. “Whether I win or lose this game I have them to go home to,” Joshuah says.

Begging for Mercy

Ryan makes his way up to the HoH Suite to talk to James. “I’m not here to kiss your ass or anything,” Ryan says. James listens as Ryan says he knows James is after him, but interrupts Ryan’s attempt to save himself by pointing out that he was evicted from the house. Ryan says he was in the same place, since he too got evicted before a twist shook up the game. James points out he actually walked out the door. James then asks Ryan straight up why he evicted him when he was HoH. Ryan stumbles his way through an answer. James warns Ryan you can’t trust anyone in the house, and uses his supposed house buddy Joshuah-who voted James out-as an example. James is unhappy that everyone but Chelsia was against him last week, which means virtually anyone could go up on the block along with Ryan. “No hard feelings,” James tells Ryan. “Get ready for an intense week.”

The Nominations Commence

Ryan knows he’s a target. “James views me as an enemy,” Ryan says. “He wants vengeance.” Adam thinks he is safe since he told James he voted for him to return to the house. “I don’t know why he wouldn’t believe me,” Adam says. Matt doesn’t feel like a target thanks to Natalie’s hard work, but Matt notes he “can’t trust a kid with pink hair.”

James calls the HouseGuests in for the eviction ceremony. “I was evicted, yet by a miracle I was brought back,” he says, noting he was lied to all last week. James pulls Natalie’s key first. Natalie then pulls Matt’s key. The next HouseGuest up is Chelsia, followed by Joshuah. The last safe HouseGuest is Adam, which makes Ryan and Sheila the eviction nominees. James tells Sheila the reason he nominated her was because she gave him her word James had her vote. “I accept that,” Sheila says. James is blunt with Ryan, telling him he did get backdoored last week by Ryan and that this nomination is his “sweetest revenge.” James is satisfied with his nomination, revealing his belief that “this is by far the best revenge in BIG BROTHER history.” Ryan notes he is the “king of the block” around here, while Sheila says she’s not going to be all “boo hoo hoo” around the house. “Bring your game on,” Sheila dares.

Who will win the Power of Veto? And if James’ nominations change, which HouseGuest will feel the wrath of his vengeance? Find out on BIG BROTHER on Tuesday at 9pm et/pt on CBS!
