Updates on Jeff Hardy, Raw Audience & More

News

Friends of Jeff Hardy maintain that both his recent drugs test failure and his previous failure last summer are a result of isolated lapses of judgement. They say that Jeff does not have the serious drugs issues that he did have in the past and that reports of WWE asking him to go to rehab are not true. According to Dave Meltzer, following his recent hot run and the higher-than-expected Royal Rumble buyrate, WWE were planning to put the title on him at SummerSlam or Survivor Series this year. Obviously those plans may not come to fruition now, although Randy Orton got his recent lengthy title reign despite having served a 60-day suspension and being implicated in the Signature Pharmacy scandal.

WWE contacted Amy “Lita” Dumas recently to get comments for the forthcoming Hardy Boys DVD, yet she declined the invitation.

The numbers of people taping Raw rather than watching live reached a record high with the 25 February episode, accounting for 9% of the audience. That boosts the original 3.47 rating to a 3.79.

Charlie Haas and Jackie Gayda are expecting their second child. Guess that means Haas will be fired soon.

Rev Theory will be performing their song Light It Up live at WrestleMania this Sunday.
