Sports Illustrated have a story up on their website about how Shane McMahon walked Floyd Mayweather through his match with the Big Show in rehearsals yesterday. They also cover the run-through for the WWE Championship match, complete with Randy Orton putting Mayweather over – “He’s a tough guy. I wouldn’t want to fight him. I wouldn’t want to box him. I think he’s good for the wrestling industry.” – while quoting Mayweather teasing doing more wrestling in the future, and mentioning that NFL stars Reggie Bush (Kardashian’s boyfriend) and LenDale White were backstage.

Ric Flair and Vince McMahon agreed between the pair of them over a year ago that Flair would wrestle his last match at WrestleMania 24 and then retire. This was before Steve Austin pitched the career-threatening streak gimmick, full details of which can be found here.

Flair got a standing ovation from all of the wrestlers as he went backstage following his retirement match, says the Orlando Sentinel, which also reports notes on the celebs at Mania and general backstage feel.
