TNA Spoilers for April 17, 2008

News, Spoilers

Following are spoilers for this Thursday’s TNA iMPACT!, featuring three title matches…

Dark Match

– Sonjay Dutt def. Michael Judas

April 17, 2007 iMPACT!

– New World Heavyweight Champ Samoa Joe comes out and dedicates his win to the fans. Scott Steiner comes out, giving his X Division title shot to Petey Williams, and cutting a promo on Joe about the next PPV (Steiner’s cashing in his title shot at Sacrifice). Kurt Angle comes out to say he’s got a rematch clause, and will be using it next week.

– Rhino and Christian are shown arriving backstage, then Team 3-D tells Rhino he can’t trust Cage, but then Bubba, D-Von, Roode and Storm lay the two out.

– In an X Division match, Jay Lethal retains against Johnny Devine, but then Petey Williams cashes in his briefcase and beats Lethal with the Canadian Destroyer.

– Matt Morgan cuts an in-ring promo, saying he will be a “Blueprint” for big men (this was his OVW gimmick name… as opposed to his stuttering Smackdown gimmick).

– Kaz and Super Eric def. AJ Styles & Tomko and Homicide & Hernandez to win the TNA World Tag Team Championships. HOWEVER, Styles protests backstage to Cornette since Super Eric won, not Eric Young, and the two are apparently different people. AJ’s proposal (which an annoyed Cornette agrees to) is if Eric doesn’t admit they are the same person, the title change is negated. What?

– Rhino and Christian def. Team 3-D in a match that included Rhino goring Cage and Devon clotheslining Ray by accident, and 3-D teasing dissension at the end.

– Cornette, in a segment where he apologizes for the stupidity on the show, strips Eric and Kaz of the titles, holding them up until a decision to be made next week. Ya know, if Eric and Kaz get the belts back, does that count as two title wins? I guess we can continue this debate when they are inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame.

– Awesome Kong def. Roxxi in a Knockouts Title match.

– Booker T & Sting & BG James def. Robert Roode & James Storm & Kip James. Matt Morgan interfered and Booker got mad.

Xplosion/TNA Today Match

– The Motor City Machineguns def. RelliK & Black Reign
