Mike Adamle was up to his usual tricks at the ECW tapings this week. After the show ended he stayed sitting at ringside for several minutes without appearing to know that he had to make room for Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman. They came out to take their seats and Adamle was so late in leaving that Edge has started to make his entrance as he was still walking to the back. Prowrestling.net also reports that WWE confiscated at least three ‘Fire Mike Adamle’ signs from the tapings.

Michael Hayes, head writer of Smackdown, has been suspended for 60 days for using racially insensitive language during the WrestleMania weekend. According to Jason Powell, Hayes and MVP were drinking at a party and had been using the N-word jokingly whilst talking about the white suit Hayes wore to the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Hayes then went over to Mark Henry, who knew nothing about the conversation, and said “I’m more of a nigger than you are.” Henry didn’t take too kindly to this, nor to Hayes trying to defuse the situation with a playful headbutt. Henry complained to management and they decided to take action against Hayes. So far this has not disrupted any plans as Hayes usually takes a vacation after WrestleMania each year. Hayes has been known to use racial slurs in a casual manner for years although not in an intentionally harmful manner, yet WWE has never taken action against him for it before now – despite it apparently playing a part in Bobby Lashley leaving the company. As previously reported, WWE has been concerned about their presentation of African American wrestlers in recent months.
