WWE Tour Controversy, Mayweather & Foley Updates

News

The reason that WWE was pushing the new on-demand Willem Dafoe movie, Anamorph, was not because Mick Foley has a guest role in it but because Marissa McMahon, Shane’s wife, was the producer. It was her first such endeavour and all the McMahons attended the Manhattan premiere on 16 April.

Floyd Mayweather told a reporter recently that there are no plans for him to return to WWE, yet he loved the experience and would be happy to work another show for them provided he was paid the same salary.

According to Dave Meltzer, the recent WWE European tour, which grossed $14.5 million, was the equivalent of a PPV doing 824,000 buys. Obviously there are greater production costs for overseas events, particularly due to the currency rates, but it was still a phenomenal performance.

There was an incident involving Maria on the tour. After the flight from Portugal back to the USA landed and people were disembarking, a man apparently grabbed her inappropriately. She was very upset and talked about making an informal complaint. Umaga heard about what happened from her, got mad and tried to find the guy responsible but to no avail.

Also on the European tour, another hotel jobbed out to Randy Orton. Whilst staying in Coruna, Spain, he was upset that the hotel staff woke him up earlier than planned. He got dressed, picked up his room service tray, went into the hall and threw the food all over the workers that had disturbed him. He then started laughing and went back to his room. HEY!
