Santino Marella was arrested early this morning for drunk-driving, according to Prowrestling.net. He had been out with Kevin Thorn and some WWE developmental wrestlers in Florida but was pulled over and failed several roadside tests. He was later tested for blood-alcohol levels that were below the state legal limit, yet owing to the time lapse in taking the tests he is still likely to be prosecuted for a DUI. He was released from custody for a $500 bond.
PWInsider.com reports that Warner Brothers have filed a Notice of Opposition against WWE, claiming a trademark infringement on the name ‘Tazz’, fearing that WWE trademarking ‘Taz’ may lead to confusion. One can only imagine how the Tasmanian Devil would react to Mike Adamle.
Hulk Hogan is also feeling the legal pinch. According to this report his wife Linda is claiming that Hulk is withholding information on his finances as they attempt to settle their divorce. The couple filed for divorce late last year and Linda has now asked a Florida court to make her husband give her access to his financial documents, brother.
In less legally intensive news, Ron Simmons has been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He told a newspaper “This has to be one of the greatest honors that I have ever received and I can’t tell how thrilled I am. This a tribute that I share with all of those guys who got things started a Florida State.” He will be officially inducted on the 9th December ceremony in New York.
