News on WWE Wellness Policy Changes

Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE made changes to its drug testing process…

According to Johnson, last week’s drug testing included all wrestlers being required to drop their pants and pull shirts up past their nipples, and male performers had to provide their urine samples in front of Aegis Science reps.

The belief is that these new rules are in place in order to prevent cheating and that, as Johnson writes, “there was belief that at least one developmental talent who had been released in recent months had been caught trying to use circumvent a test, but again, nothing regarding that instance was ever 100% concrete and confirmed at the time.”
