Although the tournament has not been held in recent years, TNA Wrestling Management Director Jim Cornette revealed to TNAwrestling.com in March that the international event would make its return to TNA this summer, with details to be announced soon.
On Tuesday afternoon, TNA Mobile offered subscribers some exclusive news concerning the upcoming tournament. According to TNA Mobile, TNA management has been in contact with the New Japan, CMLL (Mexico) and Dragon Gate promotions to discuss bringing in some of their top X class talent to compete in the World X Cup.
