There’s a lot of news coming out of Ring of Honor after their tepid New York City Hammerstein show. Beyond the announcement that Lance Storm will be returning to Ring of Honor in Toronto and Detroit, Jerry Lynn, another ECW original is being brought under the company’s wings. Although not debuting under the Ring of Honor label, Jerry Lynn will be facing Austin Aries and Roderick Strong in a FIP World Title match tonight in Crystal River, FL. Lynn has also been signed for the FIP show tomorrow in Arcadia, FL.
Also being brought into FIP is former WWE Superstar Scotty 2 Hottie. Although his match is thus far unannounced for tonight’s show in Crystal Rivers, Mr. 2 Hottie has signed off to face Davey Richards tomorrow in Arcadia, FL. Is it time for the Worm?
Claudio Castagnoli will face Eddie Edwards in Hartford on June 6th as he continues his quest to take revenge on Larry Sweeney.
Also signed is Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. Ruckus & Jigsaw with Julius Smokes in Philadelphia on June 7th. This ought to be one epic high flying match.
“Stars of Honor”, the retail Ring of Honor release, has been picked up by Best Buy and will be sold nationwide by them.
In other Kevin Steen & El Generico news, the fat/thin duo has signed to face Tyler Black & The Necro Butcher in Chicago on 6/28. This bound to be all kinds of crazy.
Finally, the World Title Match for June 7th PPV, “Respect is Earned II”, has been put together and it will be Nigel McGuinness defending against NOAH superstar Go Shiozaki. The show is only 7 days away so be sure to pick your tickets right away!
