News

Rey Mysterio is expected to return to Smackdown in time to work the Great American Bash in July. He and Edge are being advertised for a dark match on the 22 July tapings, which could mean they are also working together on the PPV. Mysterio was backstage at One Night Stand and was said to be in good shape.

D-Lo Brown has signed a deal with WWE and will be returning soon.

Prowrestling.net is reporting that many of the Raw wrestlers, not including the established main event talent, are unhappy at being on the brand and would rather be on Smackdown since the perception is that they would get more opportunities there. Raw’s head writer, Brian Gerwitz, has been criticised for only concerning himself with pushing the established headliners rather than making new stars.

Joe Hennig, son of Mr Perfect, has started with Florida Championship Wrestling. He is already under a WWE developmental deal but had been training with Harley Race.

WWE is going to launch a new magazine in South Africa specifically aimed at that market.

WWE has also launched a new website, WWE Global, a multilingual site promoting the various aspects of the company.
