And you thought the summer months were going to be boring? Well so far, you’re kind of right. This week we only have two widespread releases for you to check out in case you’ve gotten your fill of Indy and Tony Stark. Jack Black stars as a giant kung fu fighting Panda that must save his people. And then there’s Adam Sandler who is sick and tired of killing people with his bare hands so he moves on to do what his hands were meant to do…fix hair. Wow…that’s all I got.

Kung Fu Panda – Starring the vocal talents of Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, and many more. Po the Panda is the laziest animals in all of the Valley of Peace, but unwittingly becomes the chosen one when enemies threaten their way of life.

You Don’t Mess With The Zohan – Starring Adam Sandler, John Tuturro, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and more. Zohan Dvir is a Mossad military agent who fakes his death so he can re-emerge in New York City as a hair stylist. He romances his clients by giving them “special services” in the back room. However, he is eventually recognized, and risks losing his newfound life and career.

Miss Conception – Starring Heather Graham. Georgina is an ambitious young London professional who learns she has only one month left in which to conceive a child. After exhausting all possibilities with her baby-phobic boyfriend, Georgina turns to her wildly optimistic friend Clem, with whom she sets out to identify and “land” the perfect father for her child.

Mongol – The story recounts the early life of Genghis Khan who was a slave before going on to conquer half the world including Russia in 1206.

When Did You Last See Your Father? – When Arthur Morrison was diagnosed with terminal cancer he had only a few weeks left to live so his son Blake traveled to Yorkshire to stay with his mother in the village where he grew up. He visited his father at the hospital where he had spent so much time with his own patients as a GP. After his father’s death Morrison questions the nature of the bond between them, articulately expressing the contradictions, frustrations, love and loss bound into the complicated relationships which most of us have with our parents as we grow up.

Mother Of Tears – The final installment of the Three Mothers trilogy.
