Missing Links on Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, WWE’s Drug Policy & More

News, Top Story

Hulk Hogan appeared on Larry King Live last night, and a transcript has been posted at CNN.com. Quoting it won’t do the interview justice, and while I don’t think it necessarily hurt or helped Hogan’s cause following the Nick phonecall debacles, it’s quite interesting.

Want more on Hogan? FINE. His grill is apparently being recalled due to being dangerous, and his wife Linda — who’s apparently dating a teenager now — wants him put in jail due to not paying a court-ordered condo payment.

Variety.com writes that Steve Austin’s signed a deal to do a reality series.

On her MySpace blog, Torrie Wilson wrote that her surgery went well. We hope she has a speedy and full recovery, of course.

Speaking of blogs, Newsday.com’s wrestling blog is having fun with WWE’s million dollar giveaway sweepstakes promotion (and the gift baskets sent to press to support it).

Matt Hardy wrote a shorter-than-usual blog post from the overseas trip.

Jim Ross has also updated his blog, as well as the Superstar of the Week section of WWE.com (Lance Cade was last week’s SOTW).

One of the sweepstakes winners from Raw revealed to his local paper that he was called by WWE ahead of time to be told to be by the phone.

Warrior must have figured out the best way to get back to WWE is to hold… his own sweepstakes. Oh there’s also video of Warrior working out at that link. He’s still f’n ripped.

Finally, Libertarian candidate for U.S. President – Bob Barr – wrote an article about why he was wrong when he supported the War on Drugs, including discussion about WWE’s drug policy. Basically, he spoke with Kane (Glen Jacobs, a known libertarian politically) and says that WWE is an example of a company taking action rather than waiting for a law to be passed.
