It looks like UFC’s big announcement has been delayed until tomorrow at Noon, with Dana White calling a meeting with everyone for that time. We’ll have an update as soon as we can.
That being said, another big UFC story has broken: the premier MMA organization is booking a free show on Spike TV to go head-to-head against the Affliction: Banned PPV (featuring Fedor vs. Sylvia). The two matches that will take place live from The Palms in Las Vegas are UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva debuting as a light heavyweight (the plan is for him to fight in both classes) vs. James Irvin, and Hermes Franca vs. Frankie Edgar.
Finally, Chuck Liddell will return to the Octagon on September 6, facing Rashad Evans in Atlanta.
