This week in comics…

Vote for Best Comics Moment of May 2008

I’ve moved the Panel Voting to the very end of the column this week, as it contains major spoilers for five storylines… Scroll to the end to vote :)

No Panel of the Week voting this time, instead, let’s take a look at the five major comics moments during the month of May. The companies really kept busy! Spoilers ahead!

Grovelling for Votes

I haven’t updated on the status of the Super-Villain Idol II contest over at Comixfan.com . We’re currently in the quarter-finals, down to 4 writers and a short breath before the Top 3 (and the prizes ;) )

I’m one of the lucky finalists and my future on the game is decided tonight in a public voting!

Enjoy my short fiction story (don’t call it fan-fiction) starring the ultimate throwdown between Lady Mastermind (Regan Wyngarde) and her sister Mastermind (Martinique), a deliciously sinister and depraved story. LINK . I’m very proud of how this one came together, and all feedback is appreciated.

If you do enjoy it, please stop by the voting thread here and place your vote in the poll to decide the winner who moves on to the Top 3! I really need every vote I can get to stay in the game in these final rounds, so please visit if you have a Comixfan account!

And if the point of this post wasn’t clear enough:

PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!!!

PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!!!

PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!!!

Manolis Vamvounis

ah, the good old Dr Manolis, the original comics Greek. He's been at this for sometime. he was there when the Comics Nexus was founded, he even gave it its name, he even used to run it for a couple of years. he's been writing about comics, geeking out incessantly and interviewing busier people than himself for over ten years now and has no intention of stopping anytime soon.
