MMAJunkie.com is reporting that Nick Diaz will face Thomas Denny at the July 26 EliteXC show on CBS in a lightweight bout, with Sherdog.com saying contracts should be inked today.
Diaz was recently scheduled to be in a July 21 DREAM welterweight title fight, but pulled out.
Billed EliteXC: Unfinished Business, the show will take place from 9 to 11pm ET on CBS from the Stockton (CA) Arena, and feature these matches, according to MMAJunkie.com and the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

Champ Robbie Lawler vs. Scott Smith
EliteXC Welterweight Championship
Jake Shields vs. Nick Thompson
Lightweight Bout
Thomas Denny vs. Nick Diaz
Heavyweight Bout
Antonio “Junior” Silva vs. TBD (rumored: IFL Champ Roy Nelson)
Women’s Bout
Shayna Baszler vs. TBD (rumored: Kelly Kobald)
The Observer is also reporting that there are talks of doing a 60- or 90-minute pre-show for the CBS event on Showtime. Whether or not the heavyweight bout on this show is for a championship is also rumored, but up in the air.
