TNA Notes on Injured Wrestler, Online Show & More

News, Ratings

New TNA women’s wrestler Moose (a.k.a. Mickie Knuckles) had surgery scheduled for today following a broken femur in her right leg, according to PWInsider.com. She suffered the injury during an IWA-Mid South match vs. Sara del Rey, and she’s still expected to sign a TNA deal (she’s been on TV without a deal) despite the injury. Our friend Dr. Keith Lipinski, who sent me the below video, adds, “Apparently, Mickie told Sara she was going to do a cross body and she ended up doing a “modified” Lou Thez Press. Clean break, no compound…but OUCH!”

In other news, TNA backstage agent and former creative team member and on-air talent Scott D’Amore is expected to leave TNA by the end of the month.

TNA will be running house shows on Long Island and Manhattan, probably the first weekend in September.

According to Nielsen Media Research by way of PWInsider.com, Thursday’s (7/3) TNA did an 0.95 cable rating.

TNA and SpikeTV have discussed bringing another show to the network, with the online Spin Cycle series one idea, as well as more live programming. Nothing’s been confirmed, so file this with the rumored Knockouts series that was talked about awhile ago.

Speaking of Spin Cycle, in the roundtable featured in the below episode, Jim Cornette makes a funny comment about his past with Santino Marella.
