TNA Notes on Billy Corgan, Hermie Sadler & More

Archive

Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan was in discussions to write and record a song for TNA to use on TV and PPV but talks have fallen apart, according to Mike Johnson. Corgan was reportedly happy to write the song and talk with media as part of what would have been a cross-promotional deal that would also help him promote the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins tour. TNA legal got involved and discussions broke down in part due to, from TNA’s perspective, DVD rights… while Corgan’s side says that wasn’t an issue. Another issue is said to be rights to approve the song.

According to TNA press release, Hermie Sadler will be doing more with TNA.

Also, Bob Ryder is now booking TNA talent with indies and overseas, a job Bill Behrens once held. Ryder has been working with TNA, handling travel and working from the gorilla position to keep TV productions running on time.
