Quinton Jackson’s Vehicular Rampage

News

From MMAWeekly.com:

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is not having a pleasant July. Less than two weeks after losing his title to Forrest Griffin, Jackson was arrested and charged with hit-and-run, reckless driving, and felony evasion in Costa Mesa, California. Jackson was being chased by the Costa Mesa Police Department in his custom pickup truck that features his likeness on the paint job. Jackson reportedly crossed over the median, drove on sidewalks, damaged other vehicles, and ignored traffic signals. Jackson was released on bail but the story doesn’t end there.

Jackson was taken to a mental health facility the following day in Irvine, CA. Reports indicated that Rampage exhibited behavior that led officials to believe he was putting himself and others in danger.

“We did go out to the residence where he was staying at 4:31 p.m. PT (on Wednesday in the city of Irvine). We were asked to assist with him and make sure that he was safe and not a danger to himself or others,” said Lt. Rick Handfield of the Irvine police. “He was exhibiting some unusual behavior that his friends that were there felt concerned.”
