Lionsgate is making it very clear: October is the month for Saw! Despite being having five sequels being release every year, the franchise just continues to grow. The company plays it smart be keeping these films at a low budget, therefor it makes millions at the box office. Saw fans just can’t get enough of the traps, the characters and its hopeful message. The latest in the saga, Saw V is set to hit theatres on October 24.
In the movie forensics expert Hoffman (Mandylor) goes on the hunt in order to protect the secret that he is the newest person to carry on Jigsaw’s legacy. The film is being written once again by Patrick Melton & Marcus Dunstan (Feast) and it also marks David Hackl’s directorial debut, after serving as production designer and second unit director for the previous three films. The film stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Scott Petterson, Betsy Russell, Julie Benz, Meagan Good, Mark Rolston, Carlo Rota, Greg Bryk and Laura Gordon.
