As expected, WWE has dropped plans to move ECW to Monday night tapings. Most within the company felt that the stress of the live Raw shows would lead to ECW getting short-changed, whilst the greater roster depth of Raw compared to Smackdown would mean ECW wrestlers getting left off of more cards.

City alderman in Calgary are voting on a movement to preserve Stu Hart’s house as a local historical monument, which would mean no major alterations on it or demolition of it would be allowed. Stu bought the 5,600 square-foot house, which was built in 1905, for $25,000 in 1951.

Jim Mitchell has said Dixie Carter called him twice after his TNA release and was complimentary about his work. He said that he would like to return to TNA if the opportunity came up but when he was released he was told creative had no place for his character.

Awesome Kong is expected to sit out for a month and return at TNA’s No Surrender PPV in September.

Ricky Atlas Ortiz DaBone’s character on ECW comes from a wrestler in OVW a few years ago who constantly came up with potential catchphrases, T-shirt slogans and gimmick ideas even though he hadn’t learned how to wrestle yet.

Tyrone Evans is expected to be called up from developmental by WWE quite soon.
