TNA Notes on Wrestlers Leaving, Nash Angry & More

News

According to Prowrestling.net‘s Jason Powell, Scott D’Amore finished up with TNA following Tuesday’s TV tapings, and Savio Vega started in a backstage role. Also, Tomko has finished up, while Kevin Nash — unhappy about a booking decision — left right after Tuesday’s tapings. Hopefully this means that the Tomko/Snitsky tag team will be reunited in WWE…

Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com further explains that Tomko left due to creative issues (he apparently has turned down some ideas) and was a mutual parting of ways, while Nash and the company ironed everything out after he was unhappy about the Gauntlet match he was in that will air next week (F4Wonline.com adds that Nash was to be eliminated during a commercial break, so that seems to be the issue).

PWInsider also has reported that Dustin Runnells (Black Reign/Goldust) is done with TNA due to them having no plans for him and his shiny black lucha outfit. Here’s to WWE signing him and finally forming the Dustin/Dusty team we’ve all been clamoring for to feud with Cody & DiBiase.

Also from PWInsider, Shawn Daivari’s ring name is now Abdul Bashir so the company can own the name. The name change was explained in a vignette last week that was actually pretty awesome.

Todd and Michael Shane (Gymini/Johnsons) were backstage at TNA earlier this week, says PWInsider.
