Words just simply fail me. Yet, it’s not awful.
Satanic Sluts is pretty much self explanatory from the title itself. A series of different segments are shown with naughty nurses, bondage, drug usage, vampires, evil doctors, and other random things dealing with religious matters and sexuality. That’s it. Other then that, there are some interviews thrown in with the actors and other crew members. Sometimes they talk about their scenes while sometimes they discuss random topics which really make no sense. A few random topics include children, love, abortion, and marriage.
And there you have it.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the only people who will enjoy this film are those who have demented fetishes and like the scarier side of sex. The segments seem incredibly well filmed except for the occasional shaky cam which can get really annoying. Everything is put together nicely with no real semblance of direction, but you’ll learn quickly that there isn’t supposed to be one. These scenes are supposed to be random and not really connect to one another, but be there own lone entities. They succeed in doing so by being these short films ranging from a couple minutes to just over ten.
You’re going to see some really sadistic and strange stuff here. That’s really the only way I can describe a lot of the acts portrayed on the DVD. A nurse looks to be disemboweled in the opening scene. Later on is a nude woman in a gas mask who is whipped by a chick in leather. You’ll also get a woman dressed in white rubbing something bloody all over her. Yes, that’s some of the stuff happening here. Satanic Sluts isn’t my cup of tea, but I give it credit for being well done and put together nicely. People who are into this type of stuff are going to love this DVD.
The film is shown in both 2.35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen format for the scenes and then 1.33:1 ratio format for the interview segments. Everything looks pretty good from a color standpoint, but there are times you can see some compression problems; especially during the interviews.
The film is heard in Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo Sound and since all that is heard dialogue wise is during the interviews, everything sounds alright. There is sound during the other segments, but not much spoken.

“Frankenstein” Performance At Black Mass – This lasts four minutes and kind of has to be seen to be believed. Interesting to say the least.
“Pole Dancing” Dischordia At Black Mass – A minute and forty-three seconds of a chick pole dancing to annoying techno music.

Beyond my own belief, Satanic Sluts is the best release I’ve gotten to review from Redemption Films yet. As I’ve said before; it’s not really something that is up my alley or that I’m even remotely interested in. But it was done incredibly well and would entertain the hell out of those with these types of fetishes and interests. My scores for this DVD go somewhat off of my putting myself in the mindset of those who would want to see this. It has some replayability appeal for others, but I doubt it will be something ever gracing my DVD player again. Now the special features were very disappointing. Except for the alternate “Gimp” scene; everything was just a big let down and nothing good at all. Maybe some more interviews or cut scenes would have been better, but we get nothing like that. Redemption Films has now put out a release showing their quality of filmmaking and the material shown is at a higher level then others have been.
Man, if my parents knew this was the kind of stuff I was reviewing though…I’d be told to move back home and be grounded for a year.
