10 Thoughts on TNA Impact – 08.07.2008

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

01. Consequences Creed looks like he kinda sucks. I mean it can kind of trick you when he first comes out with that body and all that enthusiasm that makes you go, “Hey, this guy might actually be good”, but when you look closely in the context of his tag match with Jay Lethal against the Machine Guns, his weak looking offense didn’t do anything for me.

02. Trying to keep up with TNA storylines on a week to week basis is like trying to return to a soap opera series after a twenty year lay off.

03. I would rather watch the show on mute than to hear Don West and Mike T-nay speak a word. If only an ogre would step out in front of their car tonight.

04. Man Abyss gained a crap-ton of weight. I thought he was going to bite that woman’s head off like she was a McChicken. I mean the way he kept licking his tongue…

05. Joe is an idiot in terms of TNA booking. What champion in this world doesn’t want his belt back? Do you ever see Kurt Angle handing off his Olympic Gold Medal and say, “Nah man. Just hold on to it. I’ll get it back later.”

*Facepalm*

06. Sting needs a new gimmick that doesn’t involve rafters or bats or the “is he with us or against us” angles he already did a decade ago.

07. I’ve given up on trying to understand the gimmick rules of TNA. I just tune in if I want to watch people hitting each other.

08. After all this crazy glass breaking stuff on Free TV, what’s the point of paying for a PPV?

09. TNA failed at making me want to watch thier Hard Justice PPV.

10. Overall the wrestling on Impact was mostly good. However, it was hollow and drew no emotional response from me. Bottom line is that I don’t care if there is a TNA PPV this month or any other month. Until they get better storytellers in the company to set up angles and shows that don’t feel ultra rushed, there isn’t any point in paying attention the company.
