Ring of Honor returned to one of their hotbeds for a huge show to conclude their summer tour.

Pre-Show matches:
Nate Bash, Ben Sailer, and Egotistico Fantastico beat Ninja White, Ninja Yellow, and Jaguar Jackson

Alex “Sugarfoot” Payne defeated Hunter Matthews

Main Show

Kevin Steen made Kenny King tap out to the sharpshooter. King was said to be impressive in his losing effort.

Pelle Primeau came out and said that his scheduled partner, Delirious, was nowhere to be found. Daize Haze comes out and says she should have accepted Delirious’ offer. This brought out Jimmy Jacobs and Allison Wonderland who distracted the Haze long enough for MsChif to come out and give her the business. A dejected Delirious came out and laid waste to poor Pelle Primeau.

Jigsaw and Rucks won a tag team scramble featuring The Phoenix Twins of Tweek and Dash Phoenix, Mitch Franklin and Trik Davis and the Briscoe Brothers with a double stomp Jig’n’tonic combo. I find it odd that that move is OK, but Homicide and Low Ki’s double stomp Cop Killa was banned. The Vulture Squad pinned Dash.

In perhaps the surprise result of the night, El Generico pinned Tyler Black with a brainbuster. (Not a BRAAAAIIINNBUUUUSSSTAAA!!!!)

Erick Stevens retained the FIP Heavyweight title against Chris Hero despite being dominated most of the match.

Bryan Danielson got a measure of revenge when he and Austin Aries defeated Claudio Castagnoli and Nigel McGuinness when Nigel gave in to the Cattle Mutilation. The revenge was short lived as Claudio went berserk on the American Dragon with actions reminiscent of his turn in New York City.

Roderick Strong almost ran through the Sweet and Sour gauntlet. He quickly made work of Bobby Dempsey, Shane Hagadorn, had a little trouble with Adam Pearce and got a disqualification victory over Chris Hero who gave Roddy a low blow and a push for the ref. Hero responded with three roaring elbows to knock out poor Mr. Strong. Larry Sweeney cockily made the cover extending his undefeated streak in Ring of Honor.

Brent Albright made his first successful defense of the NWA Heavyweight title in RoH by defeating Sweet and Sour’s Go Shiozaki.

Jimmy Jacobs defeated the Necro Butcher in a No-Disqualification match with help from Tyler Black. The match also featured interference from Austin Aries. After the match there was a Pier 6 brawl with the Age of the Fall, the Briscoes, and Steen and Generio.

Ring of Honor returns to Chicago on 11/22 for a PPV taping.

I’ll see you next time…
