DON’T QUESTION THE FIRE THAT BURNS INSIDE!

So is Matt Striker replacing Tazz? Did I miss that announcement? Tonight is a rematch from Summerslam because that match ended before anyone could figure out why.

Chavo Guerrero and the Douches over Evan Bourne, Super Crazy and Tommy Dreamer
All the ECW alumni that are on the active ECW roster are 2/3 of the faces in the match and that’s all. Crazy and Morrison start off. Morrison starts with the advantage with a shoulder block and a money flip, but Crazy lands on his feet. Crazy hits a standing moonsault after an arm drag for a one. Crazy stays on Morrison and tags to Bourne. Bourne hits an enziguiri for another one. Morrison hits a shot to the ribs and tags to the Miz. Bourne kicks Morrison out of the way and grabs the Miz, who is sitting on the top turnbuckle into a hurricanrana. Bourne punches Chavo, but gets tripped up by Bam Neely, giving the heels the edge. Bourne starts getting beat down by the faces, getting a triple team in while the faces try to rush the ring. Chavo only gets a two on Bourne. TWO!

Morrison in and hits a backbreaker and russian leg sweep. Morrison tags to the Miz, who chokes out Burne on the second rope and stretches out Bourne’s back. Bourne has the support of the crowd and fights out, only to get thrown back to the canvas. Miz charges Bourne and Bourne gets tight little arm drag out of nowhere and tags to Dreamer. Dreamer charges in and is all punches. Morrison ducks a clothesline and Tommy hits the Miz instead, then goes back and hits Morrison to be consistent. Dreamer goes back to Miz, whips him to the corner and hits the bulldog on Miz followed by a power slam. Tommy covers, but Morrison makes the save. Morrison is cleared by Super Crazy, Tommy ducks a cross body by Chavo which lands him outside the ring. Tommy body drops Morrison over the top rope to the floor. Super Crazy hits a somersault plancha over the top rope onto the heels, then Evan Bourne hits a top rope moonsaulot to the floor onto the heels. Tommy goes outside and grabs Miz and throws him into the ring, but Dreamer is held in the ropes by Morrison, giving Miz the chance to kick in Tommy’s face and hit a hanging neckbreaker from the second rope for the three count.

Ricky Ortiz over Gavin Spears
Apparently Ortiz fans are going to be called Rick and Rollers. Spears gets the video dating treatment for an introduction, saying that Ricky Ortiz doesn’t have talent. Ortiz hits a shoulder block, Spears comes back and an arm bar. Ortiz powers out into a back body drop. Ortiz grabs an arm bar of his own, but Spears powers him into the corner. Spears hits a neck breaker for a two. TWO!

Spears hits some knees to the head and stomps Ortiz’ skull. Spears grabs a weird submission from behind, but Ortiz powers out, dragging Spears in front of him and throw some punches and drop kicks. Ortiz hits a powerslam for a two. TWO!

Spears whips Ortiz to the corner, Ortiz comes out with a shoulder block and hits “The Big O” which is akin to the Warrior’s splash. I take back everything I said about this guy, because that match was boring as shit. His only hope is that his positive attitude makes the crowd turn against him.

Hornswoggle and Finlay comes down to the ring all smiles. It’s funny how Finlay turned his gimmick around with the addition of the little runt. Finlay has a mic. Despite having fun with Hornswoggle and kids, he hasn’t gone soft or made himself a target. Last week he invited Knox into the ring, but Knox walked away. This time, Finlay’s without a shalaylee, so Knox has no excuse. Knox comes out beard and all, but he’s got a mic instead of being in a fighting mood. Paul Bunyan says tha tfinlay is proving Knox’ point by calling him out because he’s calling Knox out knowing that Knox could come down at any time and beat him up. Fonlay wants Knox to come down and prove it. Knox walks towards the ring, but stops and the protective mats and walks away saying that he’s gonna fight Finlay when he wants, not because Finlay wants him to. Finlay gives chase and these two fight in the aisle. The fight towards the entrance ramp and are pulled apart by two referees, Mike Rotundo and Dean Malenko! Malenko’s on Knox and rotundo’s on Filnay. The Iceman and IRS working together at last!

At this point in the show, my Apple Airport Express overheated, sparked like crazy and blew the circuit that my TV and TiVo were plugged into. Because my TiVo was recording at the time, it looks like the hard drive is dead and the unit won’t turn on, so no more live reports.

Okay, the TiVo righted itself but I think that the DVD player is dead. Anyway, we jump into the main event.

Mark Henry over Matt Hardy
Hardy has control, kinda, but his control is shaky at best. Seems like Hardy’s been working over Henry’s left leg. Henry gets control and stands in Hardy’s chest near the ropes. Henry whips Hardy into the corner and charges, but Hardy gets out of the way and goes for the Twist of Fate, but instead gets thrown out of the ring with a clubbering blow.

We go to and from commercial and Henry has Hardy’s head in some kinfd of “I’m grabbing your head” submission. Hardy gets out with some kicks to the head, but eats boot and is down again. Henry throws a few more punches and kicks and goes back to grabbing Hardy’s head.Hardy throws some fists to Henry’s mid section. Henry argues with the ref and Tony Atlas gets in a cheap shot on Hardy. Henry continues clubbing right along and goes into a bear hug. Hardy tries to fight out, but is head butted and driven into the corner. Henry goes back to kicking Hardy’s ribs for a two. TWO!

Henry grabs Hardy’s head once again and the crowd isn’t yet tired of cheering for Hardy. Hardy gets up as Henry goes for a half nelson and transitions into a full nelson. Hardy slides out and double boots Henry. Henry comes back with a giant clothesline. Henry gorilla presses Hardy and drops him like Goldberg dropped out of our attention after Wrestlemania 20. Hardy dodges a Warrior splash and fights his way to his feet. Hardy throws a few punches and forearms. He gets Henry into the corner, attempts a bulldog but is thrown off. Henry charges in the corner but Hardy gives him a boot to the face and an elbow off the second rope and then a bulldog from the second rope for two. TWO! SEVEN EIGHTS!

Hardy goes up top and hits a cross body for another two. TWO!

Hardy calls on the crowd and attempts another Twist of Fate. Henry blocks, goes for the World’s Strongest Slam, but Hardy turns that into a Twist of Fate! Hardy gets a one! two! Tony Atlas pulls Hardy off from outside the ring and Hardy gives chase to Atlas. Hardy thinks better of that and hits a dual boot drop kick to Henry’s face. Hardy goes up top and attempts a moonsault but eats Mark Henry’s knee. The World’s Strongest Slam ends the match. All that to bury Matt Hardy?
