NFL Teams Trim Rosters To 53 Players

News

Who got cut? What surprises were there? Who got claimed off waivers?

This past Saturday by 4PM EST, all NFL teams needed to trim players from their rosters in order to get down to the league maximum of 53 players for the regular season. Sure some players were cut and they designated to the practice squads, but that doesn’t mean they won’t see action this season. Injuries can mount up and anyone can be called up at anytime.

Some big names were cut this weekend including RB Rudi Johnson (Bengals), QB Joey Harrington (Falcons), QB Quinn Gray (Colts), S John Lynch (Patriots), QB Chris Simms (Bucs), and many more.
