The Hills – Episode 4-6 Review

Wow. We might actually see a Heidi/Lauren reunion this season! This episode was packed with potential.

Holly apparently still lives with Heidi and Spencer. What happened to her leaving last week after Spencer basically kicked her out? I guess they gave him a pay raise.

Anyway, Holly tells them she wants to meet up with Lauren. What?!? Apparently she, Heidi and Lauren used to be “the three musketeers” or something. Gag. So of course Baby Spencer comes out and says that while she lives under his roof, there will be no “fraternizing” with Lauren. Heidi is of course upset as well, but it’s obvious she is more jealous than upset.

So while she is chatting with Whitney at work, Lauren gets a mysterious text from Holly asking to hang out. Lauren hasn’t learned anything from her experience with Spencer’s sister Stephanie and she meets up with the other fame-seeking sister.

Just a quick comment about appearance of these two. First, am I crazy or does it look like Lauren has a mustache throughout this whole episode? I like the girl, but either she needs a wax or a new lighting guy. Strange. Second, what’s with Holly’s getup? Her 80s ‘do and over-accessorized colorful outfit screams attention…and desperation.

Anyway, Holly and Lauren have a very awkward lunch about how much they miss each other. Blah, blah, blah. They must have given the same lines to Holly that they gave to Stephanie because it felt like deja vu. Also, Holly tells Lauren they should hang out again because, ” I have your number now.” Oh, so who gave it to you when you texted her conviently in the middle of her conversation with Whitney? Yeah..I doubt Heidi would give it to her considering she didn’t know yet. The producers maybe? I think so.

Meanwhile, Audrina has to help host this event for Epic and asks Justin to come. She tells him Lauren and Lo are making an effort to be more friendly and they decide to come too. After the speech he gave her about being too forgiving, it’s funny Justin doesn’t even show up! Poor Audrina, when will you learn?

Also, since when is Audrina invited to big fancy events with the president of the label? And since when is she above that chick Chiara who sits next to her at work? She wasn’t invited? Something seems a little off…unsurprisingly.

In a strange ending, we see chopped up scenes from a Holly/random coworker conversation and a Lauren/Whitney conversation. Heidi is basically admitting that she misses Lauren and that she is jealous that Holly met up with her. Lauren then admits to Whitney that seeing Holly made her miss Heidi. It was actually kind of sad. Had Spencer not brainwashed Heidi, these two would probably still be best friends. I guess we’ll see what happens.

That’s the drama for now. Keep tuning in to see if they will ever have (a.k.a. write) a Lauren/Heidi reunion.

Also, Stephanie Pratt–please don’t ever wear your hair in pigtails again. Thanks.
