90210 – Episode 1-4 Review

It’s night time right now and I should be getting ready to get to bed but not without my weekly ramblings. Is it just me or do I have a feeling that the reason why there was a slump last week was because Brenda wasn’t in the episode? Tonight she appeared and Donna was mentioned. DONNA MARTIN GRADUATES! Can you believe it’s been 15 years since those 3 little words were first spoken? and now she has a baby. I hope she is still married to David because I lost count on how many times they broke up. Anyways onto tonight’s episode…

The director of the spring production had to drop out because of a family emergency so Grandma Wilson volunteers to take the job to the dismay of Annie. We all know Grandma is a chorus girl and she is ruthless!!!! Eventually Brenda is brought in to give some assistance and after she videotapes footage of a rehearsal it opens Grandma’s eyes on how bossy she had been.

Brenda gets some down time with Kelly’s “could-be” beau and she finds out some stuff (like the fact that her beau is 10 years younger than Kelly) which leads to some stuff in the parking lot with Kelly. “You’re still in love with Dylan aren’t you?”. Of course we get more clues into who the possible father of Sammy is when Kelly said that the father is a do-gooder. Could it be Brandon? I don’t know if he is, because then wouldn’t Sammy have been calling Brenda “Aunt Brenda” by now? So we still don’t know who the father is, unless we are to believe that Dylan is by mentioning only his name during this episode.

So back to the biggest train wreck so far, Naomi. She is still trying to get her mother to open her eyes about her father’s affair especially since they are doing the christmas picture early. In fact she is in such a desperate situation that she begs Silver not to blog about the affair like she did to Silver like years ago. Of course, Silver ignores Naomi. Somewhere near the end of the episode Naomi confronts the woman that is having an affair with her dad and finds out that she is actually moving into Naomi’s beach house.

Dixon overhears his father about the trouble of selling the house back in Kansas and it just so happens that less than 5 minutes later he kinda hits another kid’s car at school while trying to park. So he tries to get the money himself to pay off the kid since he doesn’t have insurance and doesn’t want to have his dad pay for it. So Dixon gets a job at guess where? THE PEACH PIT! In fact during the interview Nat tells him a story about an employee that used to go the West Bev High (and we all know who that was). But as you might expect this affects his grades.

Annie is still juggling boys she actually blows off something with Ty just to do something with Ethan. Of course Naomi still needs her comfort (OK SERIOUSLY A BREAK UP MEANS IT’S OVER YOU TWIT!!!!). In fact it was hard to forgive either of them. I really think the title of this episode should have been called “Can We Start Over” because I have heard that so many times this episode.

Well that’s the end of my review. Next week Annie and Ty get closer as the play begins so expect another Brenda appearance. Then that leaves just one Brenda episode to go and then I guess that could be the last time we see Brenda Walsh. Will Naomi ever learn, how do I put this, MOVE ON?!?!?!?!..Will Silver and Dixon get it on?..And is Dylan McKay really Sammy’s father? We’ll find out next week!!!!!
