Highlights from HTF chat with Warner Home Video

In a live chat with Home Theater Forum, Warner Home Video made some announcements about what’s coming out and teased about possible future releases.

Television

The complete series of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. with over ten hours of extra features will be released on October 21st in a special attache case.

Dallas Season 10 is scheduled for release in early 2009. Warner also announced that it does plan on releasing the telefilms, but no date has been announced.

The next season of The Waltons will hit shelves sometime early 2009. Warner plans on posting more information soon.

Knotts Landing Season 2 will arrive early 2009.

Next month Warner will post information about Moonlight that fans can “really sink their teeth into.”

Season 2 of Night Court is coming out sometime next year.

The big TV news, though, is that Everwood Season 2 will be released in 2009.

Animation

The remastered and deluxe editions of the Peanuts Holiday specials, including You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown, is set to hit stores this fall. The Great Pumpkin is already out there, and Thanksgiving and Christmas will be released on 10/7/08, and a holiday gift set with all three will arrive on 9/23.

A two-disc Special Edition of Superman Doomsday is set for this holiday season.

The Zeta Project comes out in 2009.

Remastered MGM cartoons are in the works, but no date has been announced.

The complete collection of Bruce Timm’s Batman: The Animated Series will be available this holiday season. Also, Warners is “strongly looking” at a Blu-Ray release of the series.

People looking for the fourth season of Animaniacs apparently have a long wait ahead of them. At the moment there are no plans for releasing it.
