Bruce Willis To Sit In Director's Chair For Three Stories

Bruce Willis will make his directorial debut with the indie psychological drama Three Stories About Joan.

Willis, who will have a supporting role in the film, has tapped 10,000 BC star Camilla Belle to play the titular character. Kieran Culkin has also joined the cast.

Screenplay by tyro scribes Christopher Alexander and Sam Applebaum centers on a young woman at three points in her life and the family tragedies that cause her to lose her grip on reality. Willis will play the father of Belle’s character.

Shooting will start in early October in Shreveport, La.

Three Stories About Joan marks the first production from production shingle Willis Brothers Films, which Willis recently formed with his brother, David, and Stephen Eads. Moshe Diamant (The Black Dahlia) and Mark Damon (Monster) will partner with the banner to produce the film.

Willis, whose recent acting credits include Assassination of a High School President and Planet Terror, has segued from his starring role in Disney’s The Surrogates to pre-production on Three Stories About Joan.

Belle’s upcoming credits include the supernatural thriller Push alongside Djimon Hounsou and Chris Evans.
